Hello again, babes! I spent this weekend doing a little retail therapy over on the Sephora website. I’m sure you are aware that the Spring Bonus Sale is currently going on. There are two days left to shop the sale so I thought I would share with you some of my suggestions and what I purchased!
This blog post is not sponsored by Sephora so I will skip over all the details of their membership program. Everyone knows the requirements and discount percentages for the levels of Rouge, VIB and Insider. That being said, if you are going to shop at Sephora anyway, you may as well sign up for the program.

So lets get into this. First off, I think this sale is definitely the time to either restock or try new skin care products. Skincare in general tends to be pretty pricey and a little bit of discount is better than none at all.
Skincare
- My first recommendation is the ENTIRE Bare Minerals skincare line! I have always been a fan of Bare Minerals makeup and their brand of “Full of what’s good, free of what’s fake” just speaks to me. You may or may not know that the skin is our biggest organ and you just want to be aware of what you are absorbing through the products you apply to your skin.
- The Oil Obsessed Total Cleansing Oil is my jam. I’ve seen lots of recommendations for various cleansing balms, but I love the fact that this comes in a pump. I’ve recommended this oil cleanser before, I think it’s magical and you absolutely should try it.
- The Pure Plush Cleansing Foam is something I’m currently using and loving. I also bought this cleanser because I was looking for a foam cleanser to use with my Foreo Luna Mini cleansing device. More on that later.
- The Clay Chameleon Transforming Purifying Cleanser is something I’m looking forward to trying. I’m interested to see how this product transforms from a purifying clay to a soft cream.
- Externalixer Skin-Volumizing Oil Serum, this one I haven’t tried but it’s on my wish list because I have been wanting to incorporate facial oils into my skincare routine other than my beloved pure coconut oil.
- The Brilliant Future Age Defense & Renew Serum, because a girl is over 40 and 50 is quickly creeping up on me.
- Same goes for the Skinlongevity Vital Power Infusion Serum that helps protect against signs of aging. I really love the texture of this serum and can feel a difference in my skin when I do not use it.
- And the Skinlongevity Vital Power Infusion Eye Gel Cream because you’ve got to have a good eye cream.
- The last of the Bare Minerals skincare line, the moisturizer. The line offers three moisturizers, one for oily skin, one for oily to dry skin and one for dry skin. I use the one for oily to dry skin, the Bare Haven Essential Moisturizing Soft Cream.
- The sale is a good time to pick up the Foreo Luna Mini. I love, love, love my Foreo! I feel like this is a better choice than one of the spinning brushes because you are less likely to damage your skin by pressing the brush too forcefully against your skin. I also don’t have to worry about bacteria because the silicone is way easier to keep clean.
- As I mentioned before, I’ve been looking for facial oils, particularly one with vitamin C like the Sunday Riley C.E.O. Glow Vitamin C + Tumeric Face Oil. But the one I actually purchased is the Youth To The People Superberry Hydrate and Glow Oil because it can be mixed into your foundation for extra glow or used before makeup application as a face primer.
- Lastly, the Shiseido Facial Cottons. This was a total splurge because, lets be honest, who needs $12 facial cottons. However, I’ve heard that they are life changing and figured the sale was the best time to try them out. Let’s all remember that this is a judgement free zone!
Makeup
- Sticking with the Bare Minerals theme I’ve got going on here, there are a couple their makeup items on my list too.
- The Bareskin Complete Coverage Serum Concealer, because who doesn’t want a “serum” and a concealer in one product? I don’t know what it is but I want it!
- The Complexion Rescue Tinted Moisturizer is what I use as my daily foundation. I prefer a lighter weight makeup and this offers SPF 30!
- The BarePro Performance Wear Powder Foundation is on my list because I already use their original powder foundation but lately have been feeling that I am over the mess that comes with using a loose powder foundation, especially when you are rushing in the morning!
- The Dior Backstage Face and Body Foundation has been on my list every since I saw youtuber The Style and Beauty Doctor looking flawless in this foundation. I was watching videos on my 55″ flat screen and this particular video had close ups of her face and her skin looked so amazing that I knew I needed to try this foundation.
- I have been wanting to try some of the Natasha Denona eyeshadow palettes, and I almost pulled the trigger on the Biba All Neutral Eyeshadow Palette because it is GORGEOUS! But who do I think I am, this would have been a super splurge and to be honest I still want it (No judgement zone). But I decided a better route to go to try out her shadows would be the Mini Nude Eyeshadow Palette. And because I was being thrifty with my money I decided to also pick up the Natasha Denona All Over Glow Face & Body Shimmer in Powder because not only did the packaging get me, it’s rose gold, but I have been looking for products that will give me a “glow from within” versus just a highlight, so were are going to give this a try.
- And because I’m apparently looking for all the glowing things, I also picked up two setting sprays that claim to give you a glow. The Glow Recipe Watermelon Glow Ultra Fine Mist and the Farsali Rose Gold 24K Skin Mist. I have no excuse for needing both of these other than they both have good hydrating ingredients, you feel a bit fabulous when you spritz your face with something fancy, and the 24K Skin Mist claims you can use it as a primer.
- Next up are a few items that I didn’t repurchase this time but I feel are definitely worth purchasing during the sale. The Sephora Cream Lip Stain Liquid Lipsticks are awesome. They dry down to a nice matte but are so comfortable and long lasting on the lip.
- Two Urban Decay favorites, the Allnighter Setting Spray and the 24/7 Glide On Eye Pencil are also both worth picking up during this sale.
Fragrance
Last up is fragrance! So I’m pretty sure that fragrance purchases are what got me bumped up to VIP status because I’d like to believe that don’t generally buy that much makeup from Sephora. I would love to know how the average, non youtuber or beauty blogger or makeup artist is maintaining Rogue status, #ijs. I did manage to get the Elizabeth and James Nirvana Amythest before it sold out. I noticed it was on sale and not all the sizes or varieties (like Nirvana Black and Nirvana Bourbon) were listed on the site. I will be so sad if they stop carrying my signature scent. That being said, fragrances almost never go on sale and I always repurchase during this sale.
