Hello friends! A few days ago I saw Camille Rose Naturals post about Black Friday on their Instagram and figured it was the perfect time for me to share with you my list of curly hair products that I will be shopping for. Not to mention that this photo just makes my product junkie heart skip a beat!
I’ve tried a lot of curly/natural hair products through out the year but during Black Friday I find it’s best to focus on restocking my holy grail products and products that I love but don’t buy as often because of their price point. I’m looking at you Deva Curl.
Before I start my list, let me preface this by encouraging you to shop responsibly. Buy what you can afford. Please know that I will likely not purchase all of the products on this list. These are products that have worked for me in the past and I know I want to repurchase or products that I am interested in trying, and either way a discount wouldn’t hurt.
I think the easiest thing to do is to list the products by brand versus category. That way should you decide to visit the websites, you can shop one brand at a time and see all of my suggestions together in the list and not have to scroll through the product categories. So here we go!
Since I’ve already mentioned Camille Rose Naturals, let’s start there.
- The first product I’ll be adding to my shopping cart is the Lavender Shaken Hair Spritzer . I’m pretty sensitive to smells and lavender can sometimes be a bit too strong for me. For that reason I had been avoiding trying this item. One day while in Target, I gave it the sniff test and decided it was worth a try. I’m so glad I did because this is an amazing refresher spray that, thankfully for me, does not have a pungent lavender scent. If you want to give this spritzer a try, you’d better be quick because this cult favorite tends to sell out fast!
- I’m trying to decide if the Curl Aid Moisture Butter or the Aloe Whipped Butter Gel is the most similar to the Curl Smoothie that was a part of the Camille Rose Essentials Curlbox that I received a few months back. Unfortunately, the Essentials line is still not available on their website but I’m confident that either of these products would deliver great results.
- If you are a lover of hair oils like me than you must add the Cocoa Nibs & Honey – Ultimate Growth Serum to your collection. I love how this product has a convenient nozzle for applying the oil directly on the scalp. If you don’t know the magic of oiling your hair check out Ayesha Malik’s video How to Save Your Hair With Oils.
- Surprisingly, I’ve yet to try the infamous Curl Maker and a Black Friday sale price is the perfect excuse to purchase. You might be asking yourself why I’ve never tried the Curl Maker when I basically just listed the entire Camille Rose website.
- That would be because I fell hard for the next product on my list, Uncle Funky’s Daughter Curly Magic. This gel is the holy grail styler that always delivers perfect curls. This gel gets me through humid Georgia summers with absolutely no frizz. Although, this product is available on the ground at Target, the size on their website is larger and more economical with the Black Friday sale price. Last year on Black Friday, I stocked up on enough of this stuff to last me the entire year!
- Another styler I’m obsessed with is the Deva Curl SuperCream Coconut Curl Styler. However, I do wish this came in a larger size. You only get 5.1oz for $28. But I say try it for yourself and decide if you think it’s worth the price.
- Another pricey but worth it Deva Curl product in my opinion is the Melt Into Moisture Matcha Butter Conditioning Mask. I save this product for special deep conditioning treatment days when I really want to pamper my hair.
- A friend of mine shared with me a tip from her stylist to make a hair cocktail with the SuperCream and the Deva Curl B’leave-in Miricle Curl Plumper. And now I want to cocktail the B’leave-in with all my stylers. This stuff somehow magically plumps up your curls.
- I cocktailed the B’leave-in with Uniqurl’s 4in1 Styler and got amazing results. I recently reviewed some of the Uniqurl products and the 4in1 Styler is definitely my favorite of the line.
- Another brand I’ve been loving and will be restocking is the Mielle Organics Pomegranate & Honey line. Particularly the Leave-In Conditioner and the Curl Refreshing Spray. Yes another curl refreshing spray! I can’t believe there was a time when I thought refresher sprays were not for me. I learned that they worked best when applied on damp hair.
- The last brand that I will be checking for on Black Friday is the OG Shea Moisture. My favorite line is the Raw Shea & Cupuacu. The Defense Hair Masque is hands down my favorite deep conditioner. This item is hard to find and currently sold out on their website, fingers crossed that it will be restocked in time for Black Friday!
- This item is not a hair product but a hair necessity in my book. The Scrunch It! I have been loving the micro fiber version and am interested in the T-shirt version as well as the Scrunch It Breath, which is made of a mesh material intended for use while air drying or diffusing. Genius!
Well that’s it my fellow product junkies! I hope you find this list helpful during your Black Friday shopping. If you know of any products or brands that I haven’t mentioned and you would like me to try, be sure to drop down in the comments and let me know!
Until next time, stay glam!
