Hello curl-friends! It has been a few years since I’ve done any Black Friday shopping specifically for my curly hair. Because I am still working from home most days, thanks to the pandemic, I have been doing very little clothes shopping and instead, redirecting those dollars towards splurging a little bit on hair and beauty items. If you are anything like me FOMO is a real thing and exercising restraint during a sale can be a bit challenging. So the plan is to take advantage of the sales to get my hands on products I’ve been wanting to try as well as re-up on products I love.
Okay, enough of all the preliminaries, let’s get into this product list!
- I recently purchased a few CurlSmith products during Ulta’s Days of Beauty Days event and I’m eager to try their stylers. CurlSmith currently has 25% off and I will definitely be picking up the Style & Sleigh Holiday Gift Set. But you know me, I want all the gels, so I’m also adding the Hydro Style Flexi Jelly and Shape Up Aqua Gel to my cart. CurlSmith is a quality product with quality prices, so before committing to the full size products, I’m getting the mini travel sizes.
- Alikay Naturals is a brand that I have been wanting to try, but not sure if it would work for me. Again travel sizes to the rescue. Three products on my radar to try. The Wake Me Up Curl Refresher, the Creme Brulee Curling Delight, and the Knots Be Gone Hair Detangler. Alikay Naturals is currently having a different sale each day so you may want to check their site daily!
- Miche Beauty is another brand I have never tried, but I hear good things about their Bounce Curl Defining Cream, which contains marshmallow root and slippery elm, ingredients that my hair loves. Not sure what sale Miche Beauty will be having, but they are one I will be checking for.
- Sarenzo Beauty is a small, black owned brand I’ve heard good things about. (I’m blaming @AskinsCurls for this one.) But the moment I found out there is a Cupuacu & Sea Moss line, I had to have it. During their pre-black Friday sale, I grabbed the Cupuacu & Sea Moss Leave in Conditioner and Deep Conditioner. But don’t worry, they will be having another 40% off sale on Black Friday.
- Do I even have to mention my favorites? Be sure to check these sites for announcements of their Black Friday sales.
- Briogeo – The Scalp Revival Charcoal + Coconut Oil Exfoliating Shampoo is worth every penny! But don’t just take my word for it, you can get it right now for 25% off with code HOLIDAY
- Uncle Funky’s Daughter – Curly Magic will always have my heart!
- Honey’s Handmade – Too many to pick a fav. But I recommend the Pumpkin & Kokum Chocolate Deep Conditioning Mask and the Coconut Cream Infused Carrot & Vanilla Cowash.
- Camille Rose Naturals – Still need to try the Algae Renew Deep Conditioner and will always have the Cocoa Nibs & Honey Ultimate Growth Serum on hand.
- Qhemet Biologics – The Cocoa Tree Detangling Ghee is soooo moisturizing. If the Cocoa Tree seems too heavy, you might like the lighter Moringa Tree Detangling Ghee.
- Outside of hair products, don’t forget about the helpful accessories like The Hair Plop which currently has 15% off with code BF21. I may or may not have already ordered backup!
- Want to get the most out of those deep conditioners, don’t forget to use a Hot Head by Thermal Hair Care, currently 30% off with code BF2021.
I know this seems like a lot…okay, okay, it is a lot! The best way to learn about sales is to sign up for brand’s email or text message lists. Pick and choose what products you’re in the market for and trust there will always be another sale. And if you do happen to over spend, remember, I’m just the messenger!
Happy Shopping!
